Which SSD should I choose?
Choose an SSD based on your device interface, available installation space, required capacity, and performance needs. NVMe SSDs are suitable for high-speed systems, while 2.5-inch SATA SSDs offer broad compatibility for many laptop and desktop upgrades.
What is the difference between Gen 3 and Gen 4 SSD?
Gen 4 SSDs support higher transfer speeds and are well suited to gaming, large files, and demanding workloads. Gen 3 SSDs provide reliable everyday performance for compatible devices.
Is Gen 4 SSD suitable for gaming?
Yes. A Gen 4 SSD can reduce loading times, improve file transfer performance, and provide additional storage for modern games. Actual performance depends on your device configuration and supported PCIe interface.
Do I need a heatsink?
A heatsink can help manage SSD temperature during sustained workloads. Some motherboards and game consoles already include one, so check your device specifications before choosing an additional heatsink.
Can I use a SATA SSD to upgrade my old laptop?
Many older laptops support 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Before upgrading, confirm the drive size, connector type, available installation space, and mounting requirements of your laptop.
